Friends of Upper Sweetwater Incorporated is a group of Frankston residents who meet regularly to help preserve and protect a remnant area of bushland where people can enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature.

Sweetwater Creek is a natural corridor running from Frankston Reservoir to Port Phillip Bay at the foot of Olivers Hill.

Upper Sweetwater Creek Reserve is the area between Frankston Reservoir and Overport Road. The area supports indigenous plant, bird and animal life. Some rare and endangered plant species have been identified in the Reserve.

Working in consultation with Frankston City Council and Melbourne Water, the group holds regular working bees to clear invasive weeds and restore indigenous habitat. We collect seeds and cuttings for propagation and planting to regenerate the natural bush.

We meet at the Lawson Avenue entrance to the Reserve on the first Sunday of each month from 10:00am - noon and on
Thursday mornings from
9:00am - 11:00am.

If you would like to join us in maintaining and preserving this beautiful and important area please contact the President of the group on 03 9781 3182

or email: info@fous.org.au

We look forward to meeting you.
